Change Subscription Package in Connector

Introduction

This guide provides a step-by-step overview of how to change a subscription package in the Connector.

 

Changing the package

Prerequisites

  • A subscription package is assigned to the merchant.
  • There are no pending subscription packages.

Process

  1. Log in to the Connector.
  2. Navigate to the merchant section.
  3. Go to the merchant's edit page.
  4. Click the "Change Subscription Plan" button. 


     

  5. In the pop-up window: 


     

    • Switch between "Monthly" and "Yearly" to choose the option you want.
    • Click the "Select" button.

  6. The next pop-up shows all the details. Confirm the change by clicking the "Add to next invoice" button. 


     

  7. Based on the rules for changing subscription packages, the subscription package is either:
    • Changed immediately.
    • Created as a new pending (scheduled) subscription package.

Info

  • A scheduled subscription package only becomes active once the currently active subscription expires.
  • A subscription package cannot be changed while a pending subscription package exists. The pending package must be cancelled first.
  • Subscription packages are non-refundable if a customer decides to end the service during the current subscription term.

Cancelling a pending subscription package

You can cancel a pending subscription package in two ways:

  1. Click the "Cancel Pending Subscription" button.

  2. Alternatively, click the "Change Subscription" button. Before the process starts, the Connector will inform you about the pending subscription package and offer to cancel it. 


 

Rules for changing subscription packages

Subscription package changes (effective immediately)

  • Upgrade a monthly package to a higher monthly package
    Example: Rising Star (Monthly) → Stellar Explorer (Monthly)
  • Upgrade a monthly package to a higher yearly package
    Example: Rising Star (Monthly) → Stellar Explorer (Yearly)
  • Upgrade a yearly package to a higher yearly package
    Example: Rising Star (Yearly) → Stellar Explorer (Yearly)
  • Convert a monthly package to a yearly package
    Example: Rising Star (Monthly) → Rising Star (Yearly)

 

Subscription package changes (scheduled and applied later)

  • Downgrade a monthly package to a lower monthly package
    Example: Stellar Explorer (Monthly) → Rising Star (Monthly)
  • Downgrade a yearly package to a lower monthly package
    Example: Stellar Explorer (Yearly) → Rising Star (Monthly)
  • Upgrade a yearly package to a higher monthly package
    Example: Stellar Explorer (Yearly) → Fulfilled Legend (Monthly)
  • Downgrade a monthly package to a lower yearly package
    Example: Stellar Explorer (Monthly) → Rising Star (Yearly)
  • Convert a yearly package to a monthly package
    Example: Stellar Explorer (Yearly) → Stellar Explorer (Monthly)
  • Downgrade a yearly package to a lower yearly package
    Example: Stellar Explorer (Yearly) → Rising Star (Yearly)

Notes:

  • Upgrade/Downgrade/Same refers to a change in the subscription package name (e.g. Rising Star → Stellar Explorer is an upgrade).
  • Yearly and Monthly refer only to the duration of the subscription package.
