Cardboard Usage Report
What is it?
The Cardboard Usage Report provides an overview of all cardboard materials used for shipments. It helps businesses meet their EU reporting obligations efficiently.
What can you use it for?
- Ensuring compliance with EU regulations
- Tracking packaging usage for sustainability initiatives
- Managing costs associated with shipping materials
Our Report Includes
- All monthly data
- Detailed breakdown by countries
- Total weight in kilograms
- Total number of cartons
- Optionally, breakdown by different types/sizes of cartons (usually not required for EU reporting obligations)
Article Weight Accuracy Report
What is it?
The Article Weight Accuracy Report helps ensure that all product information is correct, reducing errors in inventory management and logistics.
Why is it important?
Article master data plays a big role in day-to-day operations. For example:
- Carriers issue invoice adjustments and surcharges for parcels detected with incorrect label weights, which are then passed on to you in your next invoice. This creates additional workload in accounting on both sides, decreasing efficiency.
- Due to surcharges, incorrect label weights may result in higher shipping costs.
- Incorrect information can lead to safety concerns with carriers, potentially causing overloaded vehicles.
- For international orders, customs regularly check the weights of parcels against the contained products.
Why do weight discrepancies occur?
Some common causes include:
- A new variant of the article is produced (e.g., switching from plastic to glass packaging)
- Net weight instead of gross weight is entered (e.g., a marmalade jar with 500g net weight actually weighs 650g gross)
- Weight units are mixed up (g, kg, oz, etc.)
- Own packaging is used but its weight was not accounted for
Our Report Includes
- A list of articles that may have incorrect weights in Connector.
- The list is created by analyzing how frequently an article appears in shipments for which the carrier reported weight differences.
We recommend checking and potentially correcting these articles so that carrier surcharges can be avoided.
- Optional weighing service:
- We complete the weighing process on your behalf at the standard warehouse rate of €60 per hour (after prior arrangement with Customer Care).
- Upon completion, you will receive a spreadsheet with the determined weights.
- This allows you to cross-check and update your master data.

Returns Overview Report
What is it?
The Returns Overview Report provides an overview of articles that were returned from orders shipped in the previous half year.
What can you use it for?
- Assessing the quality of your products
- Tracking lots/batches (if tracked) that caused the most quality issues or have been returned frequently
Our Report Includes
- Dashboard with scatter plots:
- A scatter plot mapping all products returned in the given time period.
- A scatter plot zoomed in on the upper left quadrant (lower shipped quantity, high return percentage).
- A scatter plot zoomed in on the upper right quadrant (higher shipped quantity and high return percentage).
- List of returned articles:
Includes Lot No (if Lot No tracking is activated for your articles)
