What Are Unprocessed Orders?
Unprocessed orders are those that have not progressed to the Completed status and have not received a Tracking Number due to specific issues requiring attention. These orders are categorized as either:
Pending Orders: Orders with errors that need to be addressed by clients before they can proceed to the Processing status (i.e., your order is going to be fulfilled in our warehouse).
Pending Orders are identified when our system performs the initial address check before processing. This means that minor errors such as incorrect or incomplete addresses are flagged early, allowing resolution before moving forward.
Clarification Orders: Orders that are awaiting additional information or resolution of specific issues after they have already been picked & packed. (Can be clarified by clients or by us.)
Clarification Orders arise when the carrier's system performs a deeper address verification check. Since carriers have more advanced validation processes, they might detect issues that were not flagged during our system's preliminary checks.
For more information on address validation, please refer to the Address Validation article.
Pending Orders
Pending Orders are those that have encountered errors and cannot move to the Processing status. Any of these errors are visible directly within the Connector. You can hover over the warning sign to view the full error message. After resolving the error, click on Actions → Fulfill Order to move the order to the Processing status.
Clarification Orders
Clarification Orders are those that remain in the Processing status but require additional information or resolution of specific issues before they can be completed and shipped with tracking information.
Common Causes:
- Missing Tariff Numbers and Country of Origin/Manufacture: For international shipments (and for shipments with FedEx and UPS Germany, even for shipments within Europe), it is essential to provide tariff numbers and the country of origin/manufacture in your article base data. These need to be added when you create your articles for the first time in Connector.
- Missing Postal Numbers: Ensure that all necessary postal information is included. A postal number is a unique identifier required for certain deliveries, such as shipments to Packstations or P.O. boxes; missing it can cause delays.
- Address Mistakes: ZIP codes, street names/numbers, etc.
- Technical Errors: Any technical issues that prevent order processing.
- Articles with Different Currencies: Ensure consistency in currency information across articles.
In such cases, our warehouse team will manually review the order and either resolve the issue internally or, if necessary, our Customer Care team will contact you for further cooperation. Please note that this process may cause delays in shipping the order.
How Can I Prevent Unprocessed Orders?
To minimize the occurrence of unprocessed orders:
- Regularly Update Article Base Data: Ensure that all required information, such as tariff numbers and country of origin/manufacture, is accurately entered.
- Verify Address Information: Double-check that the information in your shop and/or Connector is correct.
By proactively managing these aspects, you can help ensure a smoother order processing experience.
