Your articles don't require an additional shipping box?
IMPORTANT: This post is about sending individual items directly in their product packaging. It should not be confused with packaging units where multiple pieces of an item are packed together in a common box.
It is possible that one or more of your items are already delivered and stored in a ready-to-ship condition, allowing them to be sent directly in their product packaging.
To facilitate this, you can now indicate in the article base data that no shipping box is required.
For example, let's say you store individual toasters with us, and they are packaged in a way that allows them to be shipped in their product packaging. Instead of packing the toaster, along with its product packaging, into an additional outer box, we will affix the shipping label directly onto the product packaging and send it to your customer in that manner.
Set up in theConnector
To create a new article, follow the usual steps by going to Inventory → Articles → Add New Article
Alternatively, if you want to edit an existing article, go to Inventory → Articles and, for the desired article, click on Actions → Edit.
Then proceed to fill out the article information as usual..
When shipping in the article packaging, the dimensions (height, depth, width) are important for calculating the shipping cost.
Under the section Additional Information, now enable the option for Shipping without Carton
and then click on Save to save the changes.
